Charnwood is an elegant Victorian listed building offering Bed & Breakfast in Keswick, a small town in the English Lake District. This friendly, family run guest house is ideally situated in a quiet residential area, only 5 minutes walk from Keswick town centre, the lake and the mountains.

We pride ourselves on the homely atmosphere in our family run guest house. All of our bedrooms are en suite. They have colour TV's, tea & coffee making facilities plus complimentary shampoo, shower gel and soap. We offer free Wi-Fi throughout the guest house.

We are a dog friendly establishment. Please let us know when booking if you are bringing any dogs and to check you are happy with the rules.

There are a few rules for dogs:

They are not permitted to sleep in or on beds (so please bring a dog bed/blanket for them).

They are not permitted to be left alone in the rooms at any time.

They must be kept on a lead when going in and out of the house because we have two family cats that, while not allowed in the main house, occasionally manage to escape.

Dogs are not allowed in the dining room during breakfast times. We can provide a packed breakfast to eat in your room or you can come down one at a time so the dog is not alone. If you have a dog crate and your dog will settle alone then you may come down together for breakfast

We provide a Full English cooked breakfast, and a continental breakfast as a lighter alternative.

Free Wifi

We provide a free wifi service for all of our guests.

Daily Housekeeping

We change your towels, make your bed and replenish any teas and coffees on a daily basis, or whenever needed.

Keswick has a wide range of establishments to dine at. There are several pubs, cafes and chip shops; as well as Chinese, Indian, Thai, Italian and even fine dining restaurants.

There are two great parks within Keswick: Crow park which is situated near the lake, which has mini and crazy golf courses; and Fitz park where you can play tennis and bowls. It also has a children's playground.

                         Climbing Walls

There are a couple of climbing walls in Keswick which are Kong Adventure and Keswick Climbing Wall. These are great for those days when it may be wet outside but you want to still be active.
